Sprocket Rocket Training


Following on from our Kids bike nights last autumn, the club will be running an instructors course on Saturday 2nd April.

We would encourage as many members to take part and help promote the development of youth in our club.

The course is usually 30 per person but the club will be paying for the course.

The course


The Sprocket Rocket Instructor’s course is a one day course which is a mix of classroom work and practical outdoor experience after which you are fully qualified to deliver the Sprocket Rocket programme.

What is Sprocket Rocket?


Sprocket Rocket is a cycling skills programme aimed at teaching young riders the fundamental skills involved in cycling –

1. Pedalling,

2. Balance,

3. Braking and

4. Cornering.

It is normally run as an 8 week programme, with each session taking one hour.

Sprocket Rocket was developed for children aged between 5 and 11 years, with an aim of increasing the competence and confidence of young riders.
