Gorey 3 Day (Stage 3)

What a weekend for Team CRC. There are some tired legs tonight after 3 great day’s of cycling.
The route today took the lads back up to Blessington (92km) with 1 King of the Hill. The Bunch rode hard all the way home, quickly absorbing any breakaway riders. The pace was very fast coming into Blessington with a bunch sprint to the finish. Jacob and Dillon worked really well helping to protect Ciaran and Conor overall Classification on the leader board. This work paid off bring home 2nd place for the team (1st Irish Team).

Gorey 3-Day (Stage 2)

What a day for Team CRC. Following on from yesterdays top 10 result, Team CRC were the talk of the Town.
The route today was five laps of Craanford circuit of 25km with 1 King of the Hill on laps 2,3 and 4.
As expected there was an early break of 5 riders which quickly increased to over 20 riders following. Conor made the early break with the yellow jersey still in the main bunch.
After a few laps, a smaller number of riders (with Ciaran) broke free to chase the previous breakaway with the yellow jersey soon following.
On lap 4 all the riders who broke free from the bunch, joined together to form a large lead group of 35 riders. This remained with 2 minute gap of the main bunch.

Again superb results for the Clonard Team. Thanks to all supporters, the guys really appreciated it (especially seeing the Jerseys along the route)

Gorey 3-Day (Stage 1)

Well I don’t know about the lads but the “Bike Cleaner” is knackered after a very tough and stressful day at Gorey😀. After a very wet and windy journey up to blessington this morning the rain did ease before the bunch rolled out at midday. Unfortunately shortly after the start (6k) a big pile up took down a large section of the bunch and resulted in some serious injuries for some lads. Thankfully for CRC our lads escaped and carried on safely in the bunch. The conditions made it a hard and difficult race and there seemed a constant flow of riders exiting the bunch.
Well done to Conor and Ciaran finishing in the top 10 with Jacob and Dillon finished well up in the bunch.
Stage 2 rolls out from Gorey at midday for five laps of craanford, so hopefully the lads will sleep well tonight and will be all ready to go again. 🚵🏽
